COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT LEADERSHIP COURSE (FETAC Level 2)

One morning per week for 30 weeks plus 2 residential weekends

Sept 2005 - June 2006

The aim of the course is to:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of Community Development
  • Develop Skills relevant to the Community Development Process
  • Assist participants to become more effective in their work in the community
  • To network with other community activists who are doing similar work

  • Community Development Theory
  • Community Development Practice
  • Equality Studies
  • Working with Groups
  • Management / Committee Skills
  • Planning / Evaluation Skills
  • Communication Skills

What is required of you?

  • Commitment to attending at least 80% of the course
  • Integrating learning back into the community
  • Required number of completed assignments
  • Sliding scale of fees available
