COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT LEADERSHIP COURSE (FETAC Level 2)
One morning per week for 30 weeks plus 2 residential weekends
Sept 2005 - June 2006
The aim of the course is to:
- Develop a deeper understanding of Community Development
- Develop Skills relevant to the Community Development Process
- Assist participants to become more effective in their work in the community
- To network with other community activists who are doing similar work
Course content:
- Community Development Theory
- Community Development Practice
- Equality Studies
- Working with Groups
- Management / Committee Skills
- Planning / Evaluation Skills
- Communication Skills
What is required of you?
- Commitment to attending at least 80% of the course
- Integrating learning back into the community
- Required number of completed assignments
- Sliding scale of fees available
