Adult Fiction: extensive fiction area, large print fiction also available

Adult Non-Fiction: books on almost any subject

Young Adult Section: this section is aimed at 12-14 year olds. Parental consent is required.

Reservation System: items currently on loan or in stock in other Fingal libraries can be reserved. There is a      charge of 50 cent per item for this service and you must reserve in person (not by phone) at the desk.          

Services


Free internet access and computer use: all adult members can get 50 minutes per day free internet access. The computers also have a Microsoft software suite installed so you can use Word, Access, Excel and Powerpoint. You can also use your own floppy disks and print off the computers.   As you can imagine there is a big demand for this service and booking the day before you want to use it is advisable. Phone the information desk on 8905563 and give your name and card number. Bookings can be made up to one week in advance. 

Photocopying: 15 cent per copy, A4 and A3 black and white only.

Fax: faxes can be sent. Charges vary depending on destination and number of pages.

Printing: (off computers) 15 cent per page, A4 black and white only.

Online Catalogue and Borrower Services: you can search our catalogue but you can also see what items are on your card and renew them online (if they are renewable). To use the online borrower services you will need a pin number which you can get at the adult desk.

Community Noticeboard: You can keep up to date with events, activities, clubs, courses, community groups and all manner of things happening in the local area. You can also use the noticeboard to publicise your own event.

Forms: You can pick up a range of application forms at the Information desk. Including driving licence and test application, motor tax renewal, transfer of vehicle ownership, E111, medical card application and passport forms. A more complete set of forms (including Social Welfare forms) is available in the reference library.

Facilities


Cyberskills Room:with 20 internet computers with various training packages this is ideal for local groups. There is a screen projector (for instructor) and printer. Booking is essential, phone the information desk on 8905563

Meeting Room: for small groups, booking is required.

Lecture Room: for larger groups, booking is required.

Exhibition Area: local groups or individuals who want to display their artwork, handicrafts, photography or informational display can do so in this area. For details phone the information desk on 8905563.

Toilets and baby changing facilities: Wheelchair access toilets. Ask at reception desk for baby changing facility
