Junior Section

Welcome to the Junior Section of the Library

The Junior Section of Blanchardstown Library has books, videos, CDs, DVDs, tapes, and a range of other borrowable materials for kids to enjoy. We stock a wide variety of games including Scrabble, Boggle, Chess, Draughts, Snakes & Ladders, and Jigsaws. There are also many different colouring pages for younger children, along with crayons and markers.

 

Ongoing events and clubs in the Junior Section

Clubs in the Junior Section will be starting up again in the middle of September. If you are interested in joining up with one of the clubs, then you can leave your name at the Junior Desk with one of the librarians, or you can phone the Junior Section on 8905561.

Scrabble Club The Scrabble Club meets up on Tuesdays from 4pm until 5pm, and is for ages 7 to 12 years old.

 Young Writers GroupThe Young Writers Group will be starting up in November, and is for ages 9 to 12 years old. You can leave your name at the Junior Desk if you are interested in participating.
Chess ClubThe Chess Club meets up on Wednesdays from 4pm until 5pm, and is for ages 7 to 12 years old. Unfortunately the Chess Club is currently full up. Book Club

The Book Club meets up on Thursdays from 4pm until 5pm, and is for ages 8 to 12 years old.
