Situated on a gigantic site to the north of Blanchardstown Village stands the Blanchardstown Centre, the largest shopping complex in Ireland. With ample parking and easy access through it’s many entrances, most of the major retailers, both Irish and multinational trade here. Shoppers are attracted from all over the country and many foreign visitors find their way to the Centre. In addition to the retail outlets, the centre houses many eateries, licensed premises, state of the art library, radio station, nine cinemas, two theatres, banks, travel agents, art centre, health club, oratory and commercial office blocks. At the centre of the complex and visible for many miles stands the skyscraper tower, a huge office block which will house many small and large companies operating from the prestigious tower address in the heart of Dublin 15. Because many Dubliners tend to spend ‘a day out’ in the Centre on weekends, particularly if the weather is bad, the complex fills up rather quickly on Saturdays and Sundays. Week days, particularly early mornings are quiet and pleasant for that special ‘cup of coffee’.
