Minutes of the Dublin 15 Environment Group Meeting Date: Tuesday 21th March 2006 Time: 7pm Present: Gina, Maeve, Deivis, Monica, Petrina Absent: Frédéric, Valerie   National Tree Week (March) It was felt that the Wildlife Workshop was overpriced. All costs to be discussed in advance.   Tolka Valley Renewal (Ongoing) Maria and Deivis attended the last event and are looking for volunteers to help with a clean up on April 8th, 10->1.   Hanging Backets/Seed Distribution (April) Confirmed for the 25th. Monica to offer Ray €100->€150.   Green Fingal Week Deivis still needs trees for the Bonsai workshop. Various options were discussed including Japanese Gardens and the Botanic Garden.   Any Other Business There is a tree in Dublin Zoo where Deivis volunteers. He would like it in a put donated by us with our logo etc. on it. Bonsai. Maeve will check whether such a pot can be made. Found a lady who does them, but got no further. Re. Trees on the M50. They have been removed to faciliate the adding of new lanes. New trees will be planted. Deveis expressed the view that intead of planting new tress they should re-plant existing ones. Too late for the M50 but we might follow up on this idea where we have advance notice of tree felling. The proposed date for the next meeting is Tuesday 8th of April.
