The Greater Blanchardstown Response to Drugs or GBRD, as it is more commonly known, was set up in 1992 to bring community and agencies in Dublin I5 together to tackle the drug problem in a rational, democratic, peaceful and all- inclusive manner.

The organisation was the first community based initiative around education, training and information to be delivered in the Dublin 15 area. The expertise and experience of people active in the voluntary and statutory sectors was harnessed, bringing on board representatives from the youth, addiction. health, counselling, probation, and development services, schools, scout groups, the Gardai and other services.

In the last II years GBRD has co-ordinated Education and Information programmes, extensive Research programmes, Open days, Seminars. Representation on local Drugs Task Force, Networking with groups locally and nationally, Addiction Service referals and Facilitation services.

We can be contacted at I, Weavers Row, Clonsilla Village, Dublin 15.
Phone: 8262364 or 8208064.
