First published in February 2000, the paper is now recognised as the No.1 newspaper serving the Dublin 15 area. It is by far the most widely read local publication and has built up a strong reputation over the years for its in-depth coverage of local news and community issues. The paper has a fortnightly print run of 37,000 copies of which 30,200 are delivered to homes throughout the area. Community Voice operates its own direct local distribution system which guarantees a comprehensive delivery of the paper to all homes. The initial census returns of 2006 showed that Dublin 15 is the fastest growing area in Ireland with a population increase of over 20% in the last four years. With over 90,000 inhabitants, Dublin 15 is now bigger than Galway and Limerick Cities and also has a population bigger than several of the counties in Leinster (e.g. Kilkenny, Laois, Carlow or Longford). Community Voice has grown with the communities of Dublin 15 and continues to reflect the aspirations of residents and the issues affecting quality of life in the area.
